| Spring Has Sprung!
Happy Equinox! Daylight increases faster than any other time of the year right now. If daylight is increasing faster, how about the light inside of you? Time to crawl out of your cocoon & start to fly. But where are you going? Are you smelling the roses along the way?
Did you see the rainbow that came out to shine on you for a few minutes in Southern California today?
Or did you feel the pure wonder & awe of the beautiful snow? Whenever it rains, & the sun comes out, I always run outside & yell “Where is it? Where is it?! I know there’s a rainbow out here!” Do you listen to your inner-child and let yourself play?
Or do you send it to the basement & stay in denial & shut out your joy? It could be beautiful outside, but feel like you’re dying inside.
Here is a poem that I wrote in my early 20s when I was performing poetry readings. Smile Bright Smile Wide I’m bubbling outside But dying inside Can’t anyone see? Oh, it’s not worth seeing. It’s my balloon that’s slowly leaking. There was a time where the feeling of this poem was running me. I could be in the middle of a rainbow & not see the beauty when this was going on. I was depressed & didn’t know it. It was ho-hum. I was feeling numb. If you’re here or have been here, you don’t have to stay here. It’s a choice.
